Gall soap for stains | Tierra Verde

How It Works

Laundry soap with an addition of ox gall which contains enzymes capable of decomposing fats and proteins.

What to use it for

• Very efficient in removing organic stains (grease, blood, ink, grass, red wine, fruit and vegetable juices, dirt, etc.)
• Perfect for removing stains on cloth diapers and reusable sanitary pads
• Suitable for white and colour-stable textiles from natural and synthetic fibres

How to use it

Wet the stained area of the material, apply the Gall Soap, and rub it briefly. Let the Gall Soap work for 15 minutes, then rinse properly, or wash the item in the washing machine. Repeat the process if needed.

For coloured fabrics, apply the Gall Soap to a non-visible spot first to make sure the textile has colour-fast properties.

What to be aware of

• Stains of protein origin (dairy products, blood) need to be soaked in ice-cold water prior to washing. Without this step, the protein will coagulate and will stain the fabric for good.
• Do not use the gall soap on fleece / Stay-Dry parts of cloth diapers (eg. Duo absorbent inserts, Stay-Dry diaper liners). Any kind of soap can clog the fleece material.
• Do not rub the gall soap roughly onto the laminated parts and elastics of diaper covers or pocket diapers.  Apply the soap on the stained areas only gently. Rough  rubbing  could damage the waterproof lamination.

Ingredients

> 30 % soap (fatty acid sodium salt - palm oil free), < 5 % glycerine, gall enzymes.

Tierra Verde chooses ingredients which present the smallest possible strain on human health and the planet. This product does not contain oil derivatives, palm oil, synthetic fragrances, or dyes. Not tested on animals.

Warning:

Keep out of the reach of children.

A possible white coating on the soap‘s surface is normal – it is a precipitate of sodium chloride (salt).

Contains limonene. May provoke an allergic reaction.
